BlackRepublican asked: A friend of mine currently owns a 2006 vehicle that he plans on keeping for a long time. He financed it for I think about 5 years @ 17% to 18% interest. He has owned the car for almost 2 years now, but he came to me because he is getting offer letters from banks about refinancing. If he refinances it will extend the length of the term, but at a lower interest rate. Is it best for him to refinance or stay with what he has?

deoarby asked: I have been with the same mortgage company for almost four years. I started with an adjustable mortgage. After two years the rates and payments shot up. I modified with them to a two year fixed. This expires in August. Last November, I filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, which includes the mortgage. My attorney says to either work on another modification with the company I have, or to seek out a refinance somewhere else. Has anyone out there been in similar situations? What did you do? Any recommendations on a good company to go with?

junior asked: I recently purchased a new home. I will be leasing my previous home with an option to buy. If the tenant exercises their option to purchase the home, is it possible to use my profit to make a lump principle payment on my new home, and then refinance the remaining balance to lower monthly payments?
