jimbob66 asked: I recently applied for an auto loan to start building some credit. I have the money to pay it off right away, but I was waiting to start building my credit. Is there any benefit to taking months to pay it off or is just having a loan enough to build credit? Is there a good amount of months to wait to pay it off?

biggishhenn asked: I will be taking out a subsidized loan for the first time, and had a question about the interest. If I take out $2,000 at 5% interest and it is deferred until after graduation, is the interest applied right away or does it start accumulating after graduation? And if I pay off the loan before graduating, do I pay any interest?

Itsme asked: I already have a home loan with ICICI on a floating interest rate. I’am looking for another loan.Should I clear this loan first to avail another loan or should I continue paying the EMIs for the entire tenure(This is a huge amount I will be paying by the end).
“Clearing a home loan” is what I meant of getting rid of the loan by making a pre-payment.

Heidi M asked: I’m finding it impossible to get approval for a student loan because I previously declared bankruptcy. I can easily get approved for a car loan, but not for my education. Anyone with ideas or information about this situation please respond. I have to pay for nursing school by August 1st!

Pehsha P asked: I am looking for a personal loan, but my credit is not good. I don’t want a payday loan but that is all I find on the internet when I type in personal loans for people with bad credit. Do you know any lender who will give loans to people with bad credit? I don’t really care to much about the interest rate. I just would like the loan to pay off some stuff and get some new things I need around my house. But I don’t own a home, so I can get a home loan.

You Reap What You Sow! asked: I need to know how to get a loan and how does it work? I’m moving out and living with my fiance and to make it easier for us I need to know how I can and where I can get a loan. I really wnat to keep going to school and my parents are not going to support me anymore as soon as I leave my house. So when I leave I can’t count on them. Please I need help. Is it so hard to leave the house and try to still go to college without your parents help?

Paul McBride asked: A couple of year s ago. I took out an auto loan and the lender in the country I am living in indexed the loadn against a basket of currencies. Everything seemed to be going fine until recently when the currency of the country I am living in started to depreciate against other currencies. I notice that my new principal took a hit in the upward direct by approximately the same percentage as the decline in the local currency so I now owe more than I did a year ago. If my currency here recovers to previous levels will the principal also go down?

Mr. Vincent Van Jessup asked: My loan is fixed rate, my monthly payment is fairly low, and I put down a large downpayment. But it was my first home, and I find myself wondering if I had a “bad risk” loan or a normal home loan, after hearing constant talk about “the subprime lending debacle”. Any info you can offer will be appreciated.
