We bought property and are building a home but it is just a shell. We would like to refinance the property due to the fact that we now have blueprints. A real estate agent told us we would be able to do it. Is this true?

I’d call the bank/institution that it’s financed through and find out for sure.
It doesn’t sound right to me, but I’m nowhere near an expert in the field.

Sure can, basically what happens is you get a loan based on the post value of the home once it has been completed, not what the home is worth now. I have done several of these loans and they are actually catching on as i did one on the east coast a month ago.
