Talk to several real estate agents. They will give you people to work with. I am an agent. I have seen many loan officers come and go.

The best and easiest way to make business contacts is through joining community organizations. Church groups, Elks, Hibernians, Masons, etc.. You have to become active in your community get out there and meet people and your business will grow.

You need to contact the Regulatory Board which covers Financial Services and ask them what you need to do. You must have a License, and more than likely, you will have to be Bondable for High Dollars. Oh, and you will need to prove you have the needed education.

You are a salesman. What does a salesman have to do to survive? Find clients and close the deal. Are you a closer? If so, then you’ll be rich, RICH, I say.

How do you find clients? Advertise. Word of mouth. Press the flesh.

You must work for a mortgage broker or a bank–someone will be your boss. You will write loan documents under the broker’s license. Learn the biz from that guy.
